Did you know?

Barn owls have distinct heart-shaped faces, which are pale and surrounded by a dark border. They have white or pale yellow plumage with speckles of brown or gray. This coloration helps them blend into their surroundings.

Barn owls are masters of silent flight. Their feathers are specially adapted to reduce noise, allowing them to fly almost silently through the air. This adaptation helps them sneak up on their prey without being detected.

Barn owls are monogamous and usually mate for life. They nest in cavities, such as tree hollows, barns, or abandoned buildings. The female lays a clutch of eggs, and both parents take turns incubating them. After hatching, the young owlets are cared for and fed by both parents.
