Sometimes it’s the flashiest birds that hold the most mystery. This peacock hen doesn’t need a full fan of feathers to command the room. Her iridescent greens and deep, moody violets shimmer with a kind of self-assured grace—regal, proud, and entirely uninterested in anyone’s opinion. I loved working with rich glazes and deep tones to bring her presence to life. She’s the quiet kind of power, and she knows it.
